Weekend June 12th & 13th

Church Family Weekend Away
In early May 2010 a group of us enjoyed a weekend at Beechwood Court in Conwy on the North Wales Coast. Photos of the event are available in the Photo Gallery and give a taste of the fun and fellowship we enjoyed. St Chad's - a "Greater Church"
St Chad's has been made a member of the Greater Churches Group. This group exists to provide support and advice to about 30 churches in England which have a cathedral-like structure, with only the resources of a parish church to support it. What these churches have in common is large grade 1 listed buildings, and significant numbers of visitors, employed staff, musical tradition and the requirement to hold diocesan, civic and other special Services. Becoming a member of this group is a considerable achievement for St Chad's and will benefit us in the sharing of good practice, especially as we prepare to launch a major campaign for the repair and development of our church in 2010.December 22nd 2009
