church buildingPush Chair Praise
This is a new “light touch” service for the 0-4 year olds which is held in church every Thursday afternoon at 2.00pm The children share a simple bible story and activity as well as being introduced to the church space. Everybody is welcome. For more information about Pushchair Praise please follow this link.
Junior Church
St.Chad’s Junior Church meets each week during the 10.00am service except on the first Sunday in the month when we join with the adult congregation for the shorter (50 mins) Family Eucharist service. Children and families are often invited to help with this service. In other services our children stay with the congregation until the end of the second hymn when they leave for Junior Church and return in time to join parents and carers for Holy Communion. At the end of the service we welcome them to share what they have been doing with the congregation when this is possible. We are fortunate to have a large band of CRB checked leaders and assistants from throughout our congregation and so are able to run 2 groups each Sunday:- Our crèche welcomes preschool age children for a story, possibly a song and a chance to play. Please note that the crèche also operates on during the Family Eucharist for those who are too restless to enjoy the service.
- Junior Church provides more structured activities for 5-11 year olds in our church family. We use many resources which provide stories, art and craft activities, word searches and puzzles for the children to solve.
Preparations underway for a Junior Church
